CFIF
The Cebu Furniture Industries Foundation, Inc. (CFIF) is a primary industry support organization of furniture manufacturers and exporters in the Philippines.
It acts as the voice of the country's furniture export industry and serves as its rationalizing body, guiding its developmental efforts and providing a venue for discussion and resolution of industry-related issues.
Established in 1974, CFIF is envisioned as a support organization to Cebu's furniture industry, strengthening cooperation among members and responding to the needs of the industry's international markets.
From a handful of members since its inception, the organization's base has expanded to include 162 manufacturers and exporters and 12 subcontractors in the country.
CFIF has two types of membership – regular and associate. Regular members are exporters and manufacturers/traders of furniture and furnishings. Associate members are subcontractors.
CFIF runs programs for its members in the areas of market intelligence, marketing, market development, human resource development and productivity improvement, environmental management and corporate social responsibility.
It keeps the industry's cohesiveness through fellowship and other programs that promote camaraderie and sportsmanship.

ROLES & FUNCTIONS
Advocate
CFIF identifies, responds and facilitates the implementation of changes vital to the growth of the furniture industry.
Catalyst
CFIF provides the impetus for the industry by organizing projects focusing on productivity improvement, market development, environmental management and corporate social responsibility.
Advisory/Consultant
CFIF provides advisory and consultative services to its members in the form of training, seminars, workshops and other interactive sessions arranged in coordination with technical resources within or outside of its membership base.
Link
CFIF links up with local and international government and non-government agencies and institutions for strategic alliances necessary for the industry's continued growth and development.
Driving Force
CFIF is the industry's DRIVING FORCE by constantly empowering its Board of Trustees and Secretariat to address the needs of the industry.
The Voice
This means being recognized as the "voice" of the industry with the right to be consulted on matters of local and national development planning, as well as on industry-related issues discussed in international circles.
SERVICES
Marketing and Promotions
• Organizes and promotes the annual Cebu International Furniture and Furnishings Exhibition (Cebu X)
• Organizes the participation of CFIF member companies in local and international trade fairs and business missions
• Publishes and distributes annual marketing and promotional materials – locally and internationally
Training / Consultancy
• Provides three levels of training and consultancy services: CEO, middle management and technical levels
• Commissions technical and market development seminars / workshops to provide the industry with necessary skills for productivity enhancement and competitiveness
• Offers environmental management training and consultancy services to keep the member companies compliant with international standards
Information
• Disseminates accurate, timely and relevant information to member companies and other industry stakeholders through the CFIF Information Centre (CFIF IC) that provides two sets of information services: Business Information Services (BIS) and Design Information Services (DIS)
• Through the BIS, the following are offered: Info Desk, Current Awareness, Alert Services, Business Matching and Selective Dissemination of Information (SDI)
• Design Information Services involves the following: Design Consultancy Services, Design Training Programs and Material Collection
